1. we left it a few weeks ago |

It's still to dry, but it rained several times last week. Too late for many trees and some crops though.

For the first time in months, it's not raining.
We had our drought last year.

Summer in Texas always seems droughtlike. But! lo and behold, we had three days of heavy rains last week and it hasn't topped a hundred degrees in over a week!

|
I hope it pours for days and puts out all the terrible fires out there! :)

5. The weather here in WA has been so good I am disoriented. |
|
We are not used to the beautiful sunshine we have had for weeks here in Western WA!!!
Normally we are so stunned by sunshine that we actually cause traffic jams because we slow down so much. And normally the weatherpeople report every tiny "sunbreak" like it is more important than world peace.
Seiously, though, if it doesn't rain this winter we will be in really terrible shape. I'm happy that you are seeing rain where you are!

7. It's actually clowdy in the North End right now |
|
But it doesn't look like it'll rain any time soon. My alergies are acting funny, but I think a good rain will wash enough of the polin away that I can go back to normal. So I'm hoping for a day of rain. Of course Washington drivers will have forgotten how to drive in rain so there'll be loads of accidents. *sigh*

10. Sure but when will it end? |
|
I'm hoping for a nice day (or better yet night) of heavy rain and then back to not to nice warmth for a while. But I suppose that's a bit much to ask for in Western Washington in September.

8. Can you believe?! 61 days |
|
of 70+ degree weather in a row! We've shattered the old record, I think it was 49 days, set back in 1958.
Of course, others will look at this post and wonder about Seattleites... "...excited about 2 months of room temperature? Sheesh." :)
It's supposed to rain late tonight into tomorrow.
