1. Did they give you a reason?
It would seem to me that they would have to at least do that, or can they really just cancel everything like that? I'd be REALLY pissed if I were you, because if it is, indeed, due to your posting of the Bush=Hitler link, that is absolutely ridiculous and a blatant free speech violation. I suppose they let people post Clinton is the anti-Christ links?

4. Not a peep from them.
Just found out when I tried to put Will Pitt's totally happening "I Believe" on there.

Read it in Truthout tomorrow or GD tonight.

5. "Free Speech"...
I'm sorry, but there really is no such animal on Yahoo. Since it's 'free' they can pretty much do whatever they want. Don't like it? Tough noogies. Believe me, I know.

10. Happened to me Once
I got in a flame war with some Scientologists who were trying to shill Travolta's Battlefield Earth movie. I never used profanity, but I mocked them quite fiercely. I guess a bunch of them threatened to sue or something, and the next thing I know, my account is revoked. Steamed me off plenty.

2. No doubt some wingnuts..........
...... put their feeble little heads together and decided to send Yahoo a series of whiney complaints that would get you canned. We ought to get together and target some them the same way if we can find some. I have a Yahoo account. Just send me some user names.

3. Yahoo randomly cancels on people all the time...
and there is zero accountability. Whether it's websites, mailing lists, groups, etc. It might be because someone complained of "pornographic" or "offensive" material or just because they want the space for something else.

Yahoo customer relations? There is no such thing.

Nothing you have on Yahoo has any security of being there tomorrow.

7. try diaryland.com
You can have a diary or blog format, and they do not censor. Their server is in Canada. And it's free. There are lots of diaries there that might normally be censored, such as pro-ana and anti-Bush.

8. Aren't these the same folks who used to be 'Geocities...?'
I think they sent out information stating that you could buy extra storage space for your site at $x.00 per whatever.

If you didn't purchase and you went over, your account would be frozen and cancelled withing 10 days. If your account was not accessed within whatever esoteric time period, it would be frozen and cancelled, etc.

I would contact them, however. If it wasn't ages ago that they shut you down they may at least have back-up copies and be able to restore your information.

12. Just buy 1 share
it's trading at about $35. Small price to pay for a lot of fun.

13. I'm sure you have to buy block shares, but...
...the good Captain says he bought some in '96. Maybe there's one or two left...

Note: we have a couple of shares of IBM my father-in-law bought in the late 60's. We keep them because we're privvy to everything IBM does and discloses to their "gold circle" shareholders, even though our IBM shares are only worth about $1000.

14. No. I don't own stock.
And the word you're looking for is 'obnoxious,' I believe.

16. I was referring to Captain Sunshine's stock, from...
...one of his/her earluer posts.

That's why I mentioned the "good Captain" in my post.

"C" and "X" are right beside eachother. Sue me.

I should know how to spell it, however, as I plan on using it at least one more time tonight. ;)

15. All major companies
are really sensitive about nazi stuff, even if its not real. They are afraid of Neo-Nazi/white sepremacists using their stuff.
