First they hire Rush as a representative of the "everyman", then they interview Mike Price, the fired former coach at Alabama, during the halftime of the Alabama/Oklahoma game. "What would you have done?" was one of the questions - who gives a shit?

I have been boycotting ESPN though. Will not watch one minute of their football coverage this year. I refuse to pad Rush's bank account. Not going to do it. Wouldn't be prudent at this juncture.

I grew up on ESPN. I watched it more hours of it that all the other stations combined.


The Rush thing makes me almost physically sick. I can't stand it...

As far as the coach getting caught with the stripper, I can't see how that bothers you....what is this freeperville? What's wrong with strippers? I've been with a few myself. Only in a bible belt part of the country like 'Bama could have that guy got fired.

I think they almost could have made up for the Rush thing, if they would have had the stipper strip on the show and give a lap dance for the old coach. Instant replay in super slo-mo was made for just a moment :) - flag for illegal use of hands.

Believe it or not, they take the viewers' comments seriously. A carefully organized campaign vs. Limbaugh would get them to drop him. Ever since Mark Shapiro (he's a genius, though) took over programming, the Reichwing elements of entertainment were fused with sports.

BTW, SportsCentury had some EXTREMELY liberal overtones, esp. the Muhammad Ali SportsCentury. That program airs on ESPN Classic.
