A sad but interesting reflection by Kleeb |
|
The supposed war to end all wars ended nothing and the battles were terrible. Also the weapons used then now look like primative weapons compared to what we and other nations have now. It is rather unfortunate, I wonder now hearing about Bush planning for Iran if peace will ever be achieved. 3 wars in 4 years what a sad world. All those who have died whether they be soldier or civilan all had a story and someone or something meant something to them. It is so sad really.

my mum survived German bombing as a child in England during WWII. She said at night she would hide under the bed, cover her ears and scream in a futile effort to drown out the sounds of the bombs falling and exploding. War is always so very sad.

I had a relative killed by the Germans myself and he was a boy of about my age, they just invaded his country, shot him in his farmhouse.

whenever I hear these warmongering creeps saying WE SHOULD JUST NUKE 'EM and LET'S INVADE IRAN I wonder if they've played too many video games, watched too many war movies. They don't seem to understand what war really, truly is: ugly, senseless destruction and slaughter and a complete failure only human beings bring on.
A few years ago I was in a department store with my mum and when we passed through the shoe section she suddenly grabbed my arm and said WE HAVE TO GET OUT OF HERE. We went outside and I found out what was wrong - the smell of rubber on some sandals reminded her of the smell of gas masks she'd have to put on when the sirens went of at school. She had asthma and really suffered. It had been almost 60 years - and the effects of war were still with her.

because I feel like it. Its sunday and you know what that means SNOOZE. I thought of this with the war posts and all. Isnt it a shame that the weapons used in WWI that were and still are so very deadly look like toys to what we got now. Take the atom bomb for instance some of the stuff we got today makes that look like a toy. How terrible!
