I'm wtaching Tom Petty and the HB perform
The Last DJ and I feel like it is the swansong for freedom of expression in music. I have a friend who is desperately trying to become a DJ and I asked him what kind of music he would play. He told me he didn't get to decide that - so what's the point? He gets to announce "a song" that he didn't pick out, one he probably doesn't like, and one that probably has a financial stake in it for the station and the performer ... I am kind of fed up.
Sorry - but that is one of the reasons I turned to Gov't Mule - they play what they want, when they want and f*ck the airplay.
Sorry for the rant - but crap! When does it end?
