Be on the lookout for a 2001 silver Mazda Protege
with a DU bumper sticker in the back window!

But first, a moment of silence in memory of my 1993 Ford Tempo, which succumbed to head gasket failure after rendering two years of excellent service--and one year of pure hell. Plans are underway to lay a memorial wreath near Exit 138 on the northbound Garden State Parkway.

1. Good choice of car
Mazda makes great cars, makes it hard to believe they are part of Ford. I have the same engine in my 96 Probe, 138,000 hard driven miles and still going strong.

Enjoy!

3. I have a Protege 1992.
Bought it used in 1994; absolutely great little car. Love it.

And I do get attached to my cars. I used to have a Toyota Celica GT that lasted me for 20 years. I cried when I finally had to put it rest.

4. Protege's are great cars
Always have been. Rock solid, and a blast to drive. I'm gonna get one and turn it into a track beast, do some turns on 3 wheels, heh.

2. Just got my sticker in the mail yesterday!
and applied it carefully to my hatchback window. I love looking in my rear view mirror and seeing the words "DemocraticUnderground.com" staring back at me, mirror image of the mirror image.
