Are there any decent p2p sites left?
Trying to rebuils my music library after the crash I've downloaded and then discarded several p2p sites. I've kept winmx, but can't find kazaalite anymore. The others I've tried have loaded me down with links to casinos put search engines on my computer, and have proven a disappointment after I finally rid myself of unwanted crap.
I've tried:
Grokster: loaded with spyware and casino links
Morpheus: Somewhat acceptable after I discarded the crap
Shareza: not enough content
Bearshare: loaded with spyware and unwanted links
Limeware: took forever to download, then bunchs of unwanted crap to get rid of.
In fact this whole summer has sucked, there has been an abundance of hijackers, spys, viruses, it's getting to the point where you have to be an IT person just to run a computer.
Putting on my tinfoil I'm wondering if the riaa and orrin hatch are behind this shit?
It's getting to the point where buying music is easier than stealing it.

4. I tried downloading that, but you need KazaaLite 2.1.
It's a KazaaLite upgrade.

So then, I tried finding KazaaLite 2.1 to download, but couldn't find it.

5. I just installed it a few weeks ago on a fresh XP install

and it worked as a complete install, it's v2.41. Maybe something changed since then? Odd.

On Edit: You can dl 2.1 on that site as well, under "old versions" on the download page.

6. Use bit torrent
go to google and enter in bit torrent. You will first need to find the software and download to your hard drive (there are windows and Mac versions).

Then find a bit torrent site to download torrents. The way bit torrent works is that a is downloading something at the same time that b is uploading something from a, kind of like a circle of sharing.

The greater number of people downloading a file the faster the download. If it works as it supposed to then whether you have dial up, DSL or cable Internet access should not matter.

The problem with bit torrent is that it is not searchable like kazaa or the other p2p programs.

Of course if you had a Mac you could get music from the iTunes music store.

10. Doing Torrents for my anime fix
Toss in the fact that Unlicensed Anime is perfectly legal to DL and I am in anime heaven.

11. I d/l unlicensed anime for one of my friends
and she loves it! What is your fave? I have tried to watch Inuyasha but can't get into it. What anime would you suggest for someone who is into politics and social justice?

For personal use I stick with Dead shows which are ok to trade...back in the day we did blanks and postage but now it's primarily through bit torrent or ftp but I have not mastered ftp yet.
