My start menu, task bar, address bar, clock, is at the top of my screen |
and I can't get the sucker back to the bottom where it belongs. I guess it's like me just has to be different, but I would like to get it back down there any suggestions? I've tried everything I can think of.

it belongs but I would love to know why this happens?!

- strech it. Click on bottom edge and draw it down - move it. Click in 'start' area and drag to bottom - unstrech it. Click on top edge and resize to taste

8. When all else fails ... |
boot your computer in 'safe mode'. When it finishes loading, simply shut it down and restart it again in the normal way. Your default desktop will be back.

13. No, you are doing it wrong! |
What you are doing is resizing it.
If you move to the edge of the bar, the cursor will change shape to an arrow. This will not move the bar, only resize it.
What you need to do is click on an open area of the taskbar where the program buttons usually go but not where a button actually is. Then you can drag it to the bottom or to the sides (I assume you prefer the bottom)

10. You think you've got problems? |
This weekend, someone switched my default home page to a porn link site, and that's what pops up when I log on. I switched it back, but boy, was I pissed! If I find out it was my stepson trying to get me in trouble with my wife, I'm gonna murder him!

12. There's been a rash of hijacking |
this summer, spysweeper prevents your homepage from being hijacked, the trouble is if you don't buy the premium service they spam you every half hour asking if you want it.

14. In addition to the other suggestions, |
if you have XP you can lock your taskbar. You right click in a blank area and then you click on "lock the taskbar." Then it won't go anywhere ever again, unless you unlock it.
