Poll question: Out of the top 10 teams, who has the best chance thus far of winning the
National Championship.

Hopefully my Sun Devils will be listed on this poll in a few weeks, but right now they are #16. :evilfrown:

4. you play football huh
what position. I probably would being playing but I got a heart condtion so hence the good news on that should the idiot bring back the draft, I am exempted. I dont even know if NOVA has one, if you lived around here you would hear NOVA jokes often, I occasionally make one but not often being that my dad went there briefly.

6. I played Wide Reciever in my Freshman year in Flagstaff, AZ
set Freshman records but that is not much of an accomplishment, I went to play WR here in Mesa at my local high school but quit because the coach was a run happy team that ran the ball 40-50 times a game. That is the team's style they played that way for over 30 years.

We won 49-0 on friday. A lot of my friends play, I wanted to play freshman so bad. I teased a kid who later became the quarterback I was gonna give him so competion then they found I out I had a heart condition.

14. What was the heart condition?
During my freshman year I played for a creampuff school that played against creampuff teams, but the year after I left they went to the second round in the 4A playoffs, the best the school has ever did. I feel bad that you couldn't play, playing football out there on the field is the time I have the most fun. For me, nothing is more fun then being out there on the field and catching the ball and scoring touchdowns. There is not a feeling better then that for me.

17. hypotrophy or something
They would had allowed to play if I didnt have it. I wasnt really athletic but I did play pretty good forward at basketball, was an superb baseball pitcher and first baseman, and for football the best damned left handed QB in back yard football lol.

20. That is where I developed my talent
backyard football, I love running the fly routes because no one can stop me in those. Plus I could use a QB like you, me and you could kick ass as a team, lol.

24. me as QB lol
*shaking head* I have no experience. I was kind of joking being its rare for a lefty QB. I am not that fast. Thats really cool, however although I appear built for sports I am not the athletic type but I think basketball and baseball are my strengths. I never could play hockey, I dont like it, as for soccer I actually enjoyed myself playing during gym but I dont care for it. Now ultimate frisbee thats my game.

27. I love basketball
I have a pretty good jump shot, basketball usually translates to better football talent. But don't let me talk about baseball, I am horrible. But sometimes when I do get contact on the ball it goes pretty far but strike out usually. I suck at trying to catch the ball and injure my leg on speedy grounders. I never played ultimate frisbee, not sure how that works? As for being built athletically, I am not that big, but I am phsycially tough, I played through a bruised sternam and a hip pointer in one game. Bruised sternams hurt especially when you laugh, and I am also pretty fast. Not fast on paper, but when I am out there on the field I have so much adrenaline pumping I feel like I can run 200 miles an hour.

3. I'll take #12, LSU Tigers.
Did anyone else see that total domination of Arizona Sat. night? I almost felt sorry for those poor saps from AZ. That must have been embarassing to sit through a loss like that at their home stadium.

Edited on Mon Sep-08-03 02:50 PM by GumboYaYa
Apparently they just folded like a house of cards once we put a few scores on them. At least that's what our players said in the papers. They said you could see it in the AZ players eyes. If that is true, that team has a long season ahead. AZ St. should have no problems.

I don't know much about the Sun Devils yet, but it looks like I should.

but needs to improve on defense to be considered for the NC. They could do very well this year, but anything can happen in college football which is why I like the sport so much.

You would get hanged, and I mean hanged high, for that kind of talk down in Baton Rouge. If Nick ran for govenor of LA he would start with about twenty five percent of the vote locked up regardless of his politics.

That movie is a classic. Actually I flew into Phoenix coming back from LA last February. I don't mean this as a slight but I've never seen so many junk yards in one spot in my life. I think we approached from the west and it was junk car after junk car.

Of course Virginia is the number one garbage importer in the US (I think) if NYC throws it away, we get it.

After Colorado demonstrates its ability against the next two teams on their schedule, Washington State and Florida State, will they deserve to be considered for national championship.

Yes, and they have Oklahoma and Kansas State on their schedule. Nebraska too. Watch for an ass-whuppin' on those lame teams.

8. Colorado won against a tough UCLA team
they deserve big props for that, but unfortanetly they play in the toughest conference in college football imo. Oklahoma and K State are not lame teams and wouldn't expect an ass whoopin. Colorado really needs to control the line of scrimmage on offense for a chance to win. I think they will beat Nebraska if they limit their mistakes as much as possible.

21. It is a very complicated formula I use
Ohio State is automatically awarded 90 points and the max you can get on my highly complicated spreadsheet is 100, you get 10 points for having

KICKING MICHIGAN'S A** TWO YEARS IN A ROW!

Things are so much easier when you just boil them down to the numbers.

but there are only two teams in the PAC 10 who can beat $C, ASU and UCLA. The good news there is the game is in Tempe.

Out of the Rest Miami and Florida State will decide amongst themselves.
