But he needs a tax cut as incentive, and if he doesn't get it he'll just sit in the dark, putting hundreds of light bulb manufacturers out of work.

One President to announce that terrorists have attacked the light bulb and must be dealt with.
30 members of his cabinet to strongarm Congress into financing an attack on Iraq, whom they claim they have specific proof of involvement in the light bulb incident.
230 Congressional Republicans to push a bill through that gives the Preisdent full authority to invade Iraq to begin "Operation Halogen Justice".
51 Republican Senators to pass the bill and attach a rider that gives 330 million dollars in tax cuts to Enron and Halliburton in "this time of war and recession".
640 members of the "liberal" media, who will spin the story so much that the light bulb will be spun into place.
But, of course, the evidence still shows that Iraq is an imminent threat to freedom-loving light bulbs everywhere, and the attack will commence anyway.

Why stop at the lightblub? I think an American, neo-conservate influence would be a positive role in living rooms all over the world.

Who cares? We will come and get rid of your old lightbulb, even if it is not broken. But we will also destroy your house. Now, you will be needing a new light bulb. That is not our problem. You will have to take responsibility for yourselves. However, we know someone who can sell you a new lightbulb at a very reasonable rate...

one to screw in the lightbulb, and 26 to pontificate about how it was Bill Clinton's penis that made the light go out in the first place . . .
