Finally we have a miscelaneous category best summed up as Issues in which people engage in flame wars over everything from foreign policy to what the hell is wrong with ______.

I try to avoid the flamefests. Despite that, I'll admit I don't see much thoughtful and reasoned discussion of the issues of the day.

But what I do see is a large number of highly intelligent and politically engaged individuals wrestling at every level with the problem of being human at this particular point in space and time. And that's more than worth the price of admission. :-)
