Just bought the new Franken book yesterday

and I noticed that Coulters book was prominently displayed. When I asked a clerk why, I was told that thats what they were told to do. She also told me that she was unhappy about it. Oh btw, it was a Borders store. The clerk also told me that it wasn't selling all that well at this particular store. I think I'll play my two new CD's and get caught up on my reading. "Blues Singer" by the great Buddy Guy and "The Wind" by the late Warren Zevon in case anyone cares.

Coulter's books do not appear to be selling well...

Lots of prominence...but no sales.. yet Conason's Big Lies was hidden away...

2. When I went to Borders, LIARS was on the first display in the door...

right up front, and on sale too. A few weeks ago when Hillary's book came out, it was in the same spot. This is in back-woods Virginia, too. Naturally, I'm very pleased with my local Border's. :)

BTW, I read Franken's book and LOVED it. The Wellstone chapter is amazing and touching.

3. My girlfriend works at Waldenbooks

Said that they have tons of Coulter's book but it doesn't sell.

I had to go to 3 store to grab a copy of Big Lies, so draw your own conclusions from that.

4. Frankenbook

I hope you enjoy Al's book. I'm 2/3 of the way through it and it is the best, hard hitting, right-on-target, take-the-anti-american-lieing-right-wing-to-the-woodshed book I've ever read. It really nails the creeps.

5. I just ordered my copy

(through DU's link of course!). Last time I was in B&N, I sneaked around the store turning all the right-wing screeds backward. My petty little act of rebellion. I put a copy of Hillary's book in front of every copy of Annthrax's incoherent-street-person-rantings that I saw.
