I had the great, distinguished honor of being...
toilet papered last night. Some teens in town rode out to my house, papered my front gate and fence, and then rode down my mile-long drive and papered my house.

I called my brother, who's more in tune with teens than I, and asked what I should do. He said, "Hell, that's an HONOR! Invite them in for snacks, and then send them on their way, and they will come back next year."

So, after my 10-year-old scared the bejeezus out of them with his flashing red flashlight and his police horn on the megaphone, I invited them in, and they ate chilidogs and popcorn and drank cokes, and then they headed out to the next house.

It's homecoming week! I felt very honored that my son and I were on their list. Clean up begins later today, though, if we don't get any rain, and that doesn't look likely. :-)

1. I only TPd houses of friends in HS
We thought it was funny and it meant you were important enough to be noticed. Of course, I hated cleaning it up.

2. I hear that the water hose works wonders...
Will try that later today or tomorrow morning.

Yeah, I felt pretty important last night. They are all good kids and I enjoyed them stopping by. (I missed most of the debate while they were here :( but I caught the replay on Cspan.)

4. I had the privledge....
...of driving around a car full of cheerleaders while they toilet papered the football player's houses.
I was dating a cheerleader in high school and they wanted me to do the driving. I miss those days sometimes.
