Original Raspberries reunion show |
|
Edited on Fri Oct-01-04 12:14 PM by johnnie
For the first time since 1973 the original members of the Raspberries will be playing the Cleveland House of blues. The concert is Nov. 26th. This is pretty big news here in the Cleveland music scene. I hope I get tickets, they are 45 to 100 bucks, but I think it would be worth it. A friend of mine ran in to Eric Carmen at Guitar Center 2 or 3 weeks ago and Eric told him he was looking for the Line 6 acoustic guitar. I bet it's for the show. Oh well, thought some of you might be interested.
on edit: I meant House of blues, not Hard Rock

2. They were on of the best pop acts in the 70s |
|
Some say that pop music sucks, but it is an art that many people can't do correctly. These guys were one of them that could. Pop is not a dirty word.

3. Power pop is a rare art form. |
|
Many try, few succeed.
The transcendent beauty of a perfect three-minute pop song can't be explained: it can only be experienced. "I Wanna Be With You" and "Tonight" are two great examples.
