Jack and Bobby
What do DUers think about the WB's new show Jack and Bobby, which is about a high school kid who will become president of the United States? The show also focuses on the relationship between this future president and his brother.

1. Is this about the Kennedys?
That's what I thought when I saw the title but it doesn't look that way.

4. It isn't, but I'm sure the allusion was intentional

3. Well done, definitely different.
A lot of cliche's, but otherwise very well done. Everyone says it's about the relationship between the two brothers, but I think it's a little deeper than that. IMO, the show is really about the comparison between this shy, introverted, and slightly wierd 13 year old boy and the "greatest president in history" descriptions that are lauded on him in the 2040 scenes (does it strike anyone else that they seem to be eulogizing him and always speak in the past tense?) You hear all of these great traits, and then try to figure out what instilled them. You try to figure out how THIS kid, who nobody gives a second glance to, is able to go on and change the world.

It's a good show, and I was pissed that it was on opposite Extreme Makover Home Edition last weekend...my wife watches that religiously and the two hour EMHE meant that I couldn't watch Jack & Bobby (I caught the gist of it by switching over during commercial breaks).

5. I like this show . Its alright ...
but something tells me if won't last long because the WB always takes off the shows that I like ( i.e Popular and Felicity ) . But I do not like the mom on this show at all . I was hoping that it would be Jack who actually became President but after the first episode we are told that its Bobby . But from what I have read from other internet sources is that they both have careers in politics . BUt I was sort of upset at how they revealed which one became President , I guess now the point is " how exactly " did they grow . Anyways , Jack is pretty good on the eyes and since I am lonely alone , thats another reason for me to watch .
