The stalker who would'nt go away
I am cursed...My ex, who I broke up with in 1998 or 9, has stalked me on and off since then. He goes six months or so and then resurfaces to fuck up my life all over again. Apparently, he broke into my house last week and stole my ATM card and $20 bucks. I did'nt know the card was gone and assumed I had just lost the 20. I go to get the card this AM, and it's gone. No one in my family has the card. I checked online and behold! A $200 withdrawal on the card this morning at 8:30. He's the only person that knows the pin # outside of my house, he's the only one that knows when the money goes into the acct outside of the house, and he has broken in before. I feel so violated and angry. I never did anything to deserve this. Why won't he leave me alone?!?

Thanks for letting me vent.

ps- I know i should have changed the pin, I'll admit fault for that.

Been down that road sooo many times. He does'nt care. He'll just wait it out until the order expires and start up again later.

5. Been there, done that
He does his time and comes right back. I'm at my wits end with this. I'm a full time student with a 4.0 gpa...I just want my life to be my own again.

6. File charges as a B & e...not as an ex-spouse
The gut invaded your home and stole for you. Too many police dismiss domestic disputes so focus on the crime. He's a theft and criminal.

And here's a  Forget feeling responsible for this. Changing the password is a good idea but you were not the theif.

8. Thanks for the hug
This one just hit me hard b/c I wasn't expecting it at all. My parents and I probably will file charges...It may be difficult, b/c I think he's homeless right now, hard to track down. Again, thanks.

7. Where Do You Live?
If you live in CA, they have really strong anti-stalking laws. If you live somewhere else, then look into their anti-stalking laws.

I'm going to talk to my prof, he's also a local cop. He may be able to help me.

9. Have him arrested for breaking and entering, stealing
and pursue him under the "stalker" laws in your state.

Sorry, B_B!

Just Happy to See Ya, and to know that you're OK (for the most part anyway). I'm sorry you're going thru this CRAP! In addition to the theft charges, if Mass does have stalker laws then he could be looking at some serious time. He has a history, which should go far with the prosecution.

EDIT: CONGRATS on the 4.0 :toast: :loveya: :toast:

18. Hehe thanks...
Other than this stuff, things are going very well! I'm taking Politics of the Middle East, just got my first paper back with an "A"! French 101, got an A on the first test. I'm also taking a Writing class and Modern African history, which is incredibly interesting. My prof is from Ghana, and it's really cool to have a teacher who actually comes from the place you are studying.

10. Pain in the Ass, but
Close that account and open a new one w/a new PIN that the bank gives you so he can't figure it out. Hide your cash in a new hiding place. Change your locks and get a security system (or at least new locks on the windows).

Make it a pain for him to keep this up. Your peace of mind is worth these efforts.

14. I actually have a concealed carry permit
I'm near the point of thinking that may be the only deterrent at this point. I feel like Iran...I gotta get a nuke to keep the bombers away. :P

Get... A ... Dog. (A big one that looks scary but loves hugs.)

In MA, I'm sure you can find plenty of lovely dogs at the local shelter. Save them, form a bond, they'll always be there.

17. I have 3
The 2 that sleep in the living room sleep so deeply, nothing wakes them up at night except a thunderstorm. Our other dog barks loudly at anything that moves, and my mom and I are going to let her sleep in the living room from now on. That should do the trick, b/c she hates strangers more than anything!

19. get a PERMANENT R O
Or a no-contact order with a 5 mile restriction. Then call any time he violates it. No matter what. Never talk to him. Show absolutely NO MERCY. After all, he is not showing you any.

report the theft to the cops and the bank-they MAY reimburse you and go after the ex.

Big Dog-good idea. and talking to the prof who is a cop-Excellent. Stitch the mofo up-make it really not worth his while to fuck with you.

Good Luck and congrats on the 4.0 GPA. That's hard when you AREN'T being stalked...:)
