I missed the debate, but I have a good excuse
As a political junkie, I normally don't miss ANY debate. But last night, I got the chance to see the one and only Brian Wilson in concert.

It was his North American debut of Smile, one of the great long-lost albums in the history of pop music. The live performance of the entire album (in sequence) was amazing. If you get the chance, you need to hear it live-- it's even better than the CD, which was rated six stars out of five by Rolling Stone.

I was in an airplane on the second leg of my trip home from Japan--somewhere between here and L.A.
