FRENCH, GERMAN TROOPS CONDUCT JOINT STRIKE ON SAUDI ARABIA

In a surprise move, the governments of France and Germany have announced a pre-emptive invasion of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Speaking at an extremely brief news conference, French President Jacques Chirac announced that the action was designed to show that "despite the American President's assertions to the contrary, France and Germany are extremely interested in fighting terrorism where it truly lives."
