"The Forgotten"-good movie
Nothing that will change your pathetic life but a good way to spend a couple of hours.

Aside from the surprises it would be bone crushingly boring (Did you know bone crushing was boring?).

We saw it tonight in a theatre that now tops my line of favorites-very out of the way (I smell laundering drug money)

Julianne Moore, Gary Sinise, Anthony Edwards (Dr.Green and Spicolli's bud), a guy from "The Wire" , and a guy from "Oz".

SSSssssssssshhhhhhhhhoooooooop!

1. I just saw it!
Gary Sinise didn't have a big enough part! But, of course, I tend to think any movie he's in should consist only of him. Preferably nekkid.

Still -- good movie! Best car crash I've seen in a long time. I jumped out of my seat.

3. Yeah you could see it coming
the director did a good job of setting it up. you could hear the audience tenseing up on Alfre's "exit" scene.

I am glad to see Sinise's leg grew back, which is good.

2. I almost snuck into that today.
After seeing "Shaun of the Dead". I finally decided that I wasn't quite ready for the "sneaking into the movie" phase of my pathetic life. :-)

4. My wife REFUSES to do that
even on a rainy day.

I haven't ever done that myself but she really should stop refusing to be the first-What would Jefferson say?

Shaun of the Dead has rental (PPV) written all over it, but I do want to see it.

5. Shaun of the Dead was fun, not funny.
I still liked it. I saw it at the Neshaminy 24. Really, 24 screens. Explain to your wife that they are practically begging you to sneak into additional films while you are there.

6. Why on EARTH would I watch that?!?
After every major portion of the plot, and quite possibly all of the good parts, were revealed in the trailer?

Please note that this is my personal pet peeve, when they show much in the trailer that I have absolutely no desire to see the movie anymore.

The trailer for "National Treasure" is a good example of this. While I probably wouldn't pay nine bucks to see a Nicolas Cage movie anyway ("Matchstick Men" was good, however), I sure as hell wouldn't pay to see a movie where all the plot twists are revealed in the commercial. The first "Men in Black" is another example. By the time I'd watched the commercials, the videos, and the "making-of's" what was the point? The first Shrek, too -- the kids in the audience only laughed when the joke was one that had been in the commercials.

8. Which is an odd coincidence
Because I'm not even attracted to men, and I still have a thing for British actors.

Ian McKellen, for instance -- whom I have on personal authority as not just being gay, but being "super" gay -- is my favorite actor. His version of "Richard III" is my personal desert island movie.

11. Do you have to be ...
attracted to men in order to lust after Ian McKellen? I think he's one of those 'Universal Lustables' ... at least if you ask me. ;)
