I mostly lurk about but I see a magical number (to some of you; to others nuffin) in my nearing the "600" number of posts which is abysmal considering how much I read here.

I'd like to hear your feelings about what's in a number....from a longevity perspective...in how you decide to respond to posters.

Is the "number" a bias?

My intent though is really to reach 600. :bounce:

when all I do is read. Then I'll have a streak of posts. They do add up...:-)

There are many days that I log in long enough to read LBN and to scan through the Editorials.

Thank you, this should bring me to 599. I just never wanted to make it to that horrid 700 club....I'd be there forever!

6. I KNOW that's going to happen to me.

Avoidance? Maybe. 600 is closer to 700.... 'course the rate at which I post it might take another year to reach 700. I won't worry about it for a while. It's reaching the "Rapture" that has me worried. I've seen what it's done to some of you. :) I'll have to post really stupid things to get out of there. Humiliation! :silly:

But you have some time to consider what silly things to post to get out of the dreaded 700.

I'm in the middle of Rapture land and I sometimes catch myself looking at some of the people around me and realizing that the look on my face needs to change a bit. A neighbor called a couple of days ago to tell me that she had just seen a bumpersticker that read 'Liberals are Satanists'.

And we have horns and tails too! :evilgrin:

I have one that says, "I THINK, Therefore I'm Dangerous!" but it wouldn't fit next to my Kerry sticker, surrounded by two American flags, a DU sticker to the left of that and above Kerry an "I heart America" sticker. It's our flag too. :)

I approach most people with humor...crack the ice first and see which way the wind is blowing, then I land a few jabs...all with a smile. Stand-up for the one-on-one crowd. And each drop makes a bigger ripple.
