What type of liqour can you most easily drink straight? |
|
Edited on Sat Oct-02-04 07:20 PM by WillyBrandt
Most folks mix liqour. What kinds can you drink just plain:
Me: Sake (which I suppose you never mix). The perfect liqour
I'm also happy drinking Tequila or sometimes good vodka straight.

3. Actually, sake martini's aren't too bad |
|
and they're perfect accompaniment to a seared ahi in wasabi beurre blanc.
For sipping in the fall, I love a gently warmed cognac. For sipping in winter, I like a near frozen vodka. For sipping in the spring and winter, I like to linger over a dinner al fresco long enough to break out the grappa.

If not, it would be whiskey. Then tequila. Then rum. Then just about anything because I'd be hammered. :silly:

16. Tie: single-malt scotch, or top-shelf tequila |
|
It's more of a seasonal thing than anything else. In the winter, I stick with the single-malt scotches. However, the summer is tequila time-- and NOT Cuervo. I stick with the 100% agave tequilas, simply because they're purer, and you don't get sick/hangovers from the "non-agave" crap they put in them.
I'm getting thirsty...

A great brandy - a gift of th Greeks to mankind. More of a grape flavor than the French brandies
For making joint pain go away, OUZO is fantastic.
Glenfiddich is a great sipping Scotch.

Ya know who woulda thunk that the bottom of a Whiskey barrel could taste soooo damned good? I think it is really the Scots making up for the Haggis.
