the best dog-training tool ever....
a soda can with 10 pennies in. Tape up the top. A trainer told me about it years ago, and last night I started using it with the pup. When he does something bad, yell NO and shake the can. Damn, he HATES the sound! He's been an angel all day! He hasn't chewed anything he shouldn't chew, he hasn't chased a cat, he's been great.

1. A squirt bottle
filled with water. Our dog HATES it ! I just have to pick it up and he usually chills right out.

3. Don't try it
if you have a bird in the same room.

5. Does it freak the bird out?
Or does the bird learn to imitate it?

6. The poor bird fell off his perch
and "he" looked like he just about jumped out of his feathers.

Even though the can/coins action got the pup's attention, it was extremely traumatic for the poor, but really tough (thankfully) bird.

Some of his best imitations are of household objects like the refrigerator door being opened. He also does human buuuurrps really well.

4. I use one of those "Zapper Things" to train mine.
He's kinda "out-of-it" for a while and shakes a lot but he's really truly calmed down now!
Now, if I could just get him to come down from the Chandelier.
