A plastic bag with feet just woke me!
Edited on Sun Oct-03-04 02:43 AM by Gothic_Sponge
I tried to get some sleep, but i heard a loud crash from the kicthen. Immediately, a bunch of smaller crashes came from the living room and traveled all around the house. I thought someone broke in, but it was just my cat!

The cat got into a small cabinet in the kitchen where i keep all the plastic grocery bags from the store. One hooked on his leg and he went nuts! He knocked over a bunch of stuff running from the bag. The crazy cat was not hurt and nothing was broken, but it looks like i have to find a new spot for the bags.

2. Ha!
Funny story.

I remember serving tea to my sister in law one time, and putting a plastic spoon in the honey jar in case she wanted to sweeten her tea.

Somehow, before the visit was over, my cat had gotten curious about the honey jar. When we tried to remove her from the vicinity, the spoon became stuck to her tail. She went berserk! It took awhile to catch her and remove the offending spoon.

8. A couple of years back, on election day,
One of our cats rolled over on Mr. Nownow's 'I voted today' sticker that he'd peeled off his shirt and thrown on the counter. It took her a few seconds to realize she had something stuck to her, but boy, once she did -- we had to chase her through the house for five minutes straight, until she climbed into a box, to get the thing off her!

I told Mr. Nownow she reminded me of a large percentage of the electorate, especially in off-year elections.

4. Sara did the same thing tonight..
She raced through the house...crashed into the sliding door, and eventually under our bed.. I found several shredded pieces of the dastardly bag :)

All the other kitties (8 of 'em) got scared too and started the Helter Skelter Race.. They did not knwo why, but they felt compelled to join in..

Willie hid behind the TV for an HOUR..and he never even saw her...just heard the noise..

Aren't cats wonderful :loveya:

6. Did you ever want to set up infrared video cameras just so you
could find out what your cat does at night while you're asleep?

My late beloved cat used to leave enough debris for me to find in the morning so I could pretty much figure it out: laundry dragged out of the hamper and artfully arranged throughout the house. Destroyed plants. Magazines pushed off the coffee table. Pouches of Tender Vittles shredded open and the vittles themselves scattered from the kitchen into the dining room. And my favorite: the total disconnection of every cord, line, and wire behind the media center.

Gosh I miss that old ornery bastard.

7. What is it with the plastic bags and them?
Our girl figured out the child-proofing on the cabinet so we had to move the bags

9. Someone once mentioned on here
that when plastic bags are made, they're coated with a thin layer of gelatin (an animal byproduct) to keep them from sticking together.
