Left wing bias in cable news...
I was wondering if anyone could help me.. I am writing a report for a class on media ethics on cable news bias covering the 2004 presidential election during the month of October. So far, I have seen several instances of bias toward Bush (mostly on foxnews, no suprise there) but I haven't seen any bias toward Kerry. I was wondering if anyone could give me recent examples of leftward bias, maybe I just don't pick it up as easily because I am a liberal. For all the fuss on the right, I just can't seem to find any liberal bias on CNN or MSNBC.

3. there is none
their idea of left wing bias is anything short of jerking off the president with every word.

you can use that in your paper!

4. You see the bias every time you see a poll President Bush or Kerry
By giving Bush the prestige of his office while denying the Senator his you try to bias the results.

5. Anything that seems fair and balanced is obviously biased
I would say find the nearest freeper and ask him/her for an example. If they say CBS, kick them in the teeth.

6. Try checking FAIR and CJR

http://www.cjr.org/

They point out biases, either way...might be a place to start-good luck...

7. Search Free Republic for "left-wing media bias" Mind you, you won't agree
with them, but presumably you can turn up some examples. I mean, if a conservative is deluded enough (and they are) s/he can be convinced that Joe Scarborough was following orders from Hillary central when he said Kerry stomped Bush in the first debate.

Just a thought: maybe you should put in your report that there is no left-wing bias in cable news. Unless you count the Daily Show...:)
