How is life in the cabin? Are you getting some good fall colors?

21. Not peak here at all yet...maybe another week but

every morning I wake up to more color...it is really amazing how quickly it changes! And the eight baby ducks that chugged around the lake all summer under their parents' careful supervision are now flying around the lake on their own...getting ready, I guess, to leave us for the winter.

I am not spending this winter in the cabin...I found a little condo in the next town over. I will miss the hardship of the winter here and the beauty and the isolation and the dogs will miss running free in the woods, but there were some gut wrenching days last winter when the windchill was -40 and the dogs' water dish froze in the house...so, I think I'll visit instead of live here. Plus, the new place has cable and fast speed internet...I'm not a total dope! :-)
