How bad is your memory?
I have great long term memory. I can remember, in absolute detail, things that happened thirty years ago.

My short term memory sucks, though. Do you ever do this?

Sometimes I think I remember something but I'm not sure if it's something I really did

or if I might have dreamed it

or maybe someone told me about it

or I saw it in a movie

or read it in a book

or just thought about doing it

or I saw someone do it...

Just last week or so, I remembered talking to someone and they said they were voting for Nader. I can picture the whole thing - I was leaning over a table - but I can't remember who it was, or if it really happened or what.

Man, it sucks to get old......

5. I'd say it's "Duxheimer's." I see you have 1,000 plus posts. If you've
read and posted that much...your mind turns to mush. By this time you've read how many :tinfoilhat:, mainstream media, Lounge, Editorial and LBN posts...and after awhile your brain just "short circuits" and you aren't sure what you read, when, wherever, whatever it was about except it might have been politics, latest scandal, music, games, "right to chose or not, religion, cat or dog care, hurricane threats, eathquakes fires, environmental and food threats.....whatever.

At some point one's brain just REBELS! Check out my post count...I'm near "idiot" status...read...read...read...digest...digest...digest..

Only so much our brains can take.

Or it could be serious and you need to "see your doctor."

10. Gee, I'd love to use DU as an excuse
But I've been like this for years.

I think it's just compartmentalized thinking because I have a mind like a steel trap when it comes to work related stuff. I retain most of what I read and I only read non-fiction, heavy-duty historical tomes and the like. The stuff I forget is the everyday stuff - just kind of floats away.

Or maybe it's all the pot and alcohol.....
