What is an "ask anything" post? I noticed that when a few people have mentioned that they didn't get many responses on other forums they were encouraged to post an "ask anything" to the "DU Lounge." What does that entail?

1. My take on this.

I have a feeling that this sort of thing started with an

I'm Drunk--Ask me anything!

thread. Now DUers use it as an excuse to share something personal, e.g. "I just got my wisdom teeth pulled--ask me anything". It's slightly funny sometimes.
