I shook Teresa Heinz Kerry's hand and gave her a kiss tonight!
I also was interviewed by the Guardian...

She gave a great speech and actually talked about issues in far more depth than a normal campaign speech and it was wonderful.

We had a great evening here in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.

I am just hoping the picture taken of me with Teresa turns out!!!

2. She spoke a lot about healthcare and John's ideas to fix the problem
and she talked about how we should be giving incentives to companies to stay here in this country rather than outsource jobs.
She spoke for about an hour I would say...but I didn't notice because it was just great listening to her..

8. I am not really sure
but a lot of the people associated with the PA campaign were there tonight so I would not doubt that they were moving her around a lot to different areas.

16. in a nutshell
she asked what I thought of THK. I told her that I really admire her and would be happy to see her as first lady. She asked if I thought THK's speech was too long or too involved for the event. I told her no, that the people in the audience were already committed to John Kerry so that a normal campaign stump speech wasn't necessary. I told the interviewer that it was refreshing to hear her speak directly about issues like healthcare in such detail since we have had four years of meaningless soundbites.

She asked if I felt THK was a role model to younger women and I said yes that we needed strong women like her, I explained that women still lack the respect given to men when it comes to being passionate about an issue, typically we are labeled opinionated and brushed aside.

I also mentioned democraticunderground and explained that I often read articles from the Guardian that are posted to this site.
