3. It's good that he's concocted the whole Mayor Bill scenario

and so can rip bushco repeatedly without scaring the nard-less editors or seeming too dogmatic or a Doonesbury copycat. Very clever, and some pretty fine art too.

5. Its the characters that are so funny

The cat with the freaked out hair and eyes and the jockey shorts. And Opus and his Mother. And the little princess.

I don't always understand it - politically. But you don't have to. The drawing is just as entertaining.

7. "Freaked out Cat"

That's Bill!!!!!! Opus used to have a Rock and Roll Band "Billy and the Beaters" and one day, Opus got pulled over for speeding. The cop noticed the radar detector on the windshield and asked him what it was...Opus replied that it was his Communicator to contact the mother Ship. The cop asked Opus to show him how it worked. Opus, of course couldn't raise anyone on the Radar Detector from the Mother ship, and told the cop that it must be malfunctioning... The cop said, Yeah I bet I know when it happened too, You were going Warp 70 back there! Bloom County Is great.... But the true masterwork is "Calvin and Hobbes"!

8. Uh...that's "Billy and the Boingers"

Though they were originally dalled "Deathtongue". Changed the name during congressional hearings on satanic rock music (long complicated story involving making fun of Tipper Gore). :)

I really miss Calvin and Hobbs. I think I have everyone of the books that came out.

And "Far Side"

Those are the classics.

But I really like Get Fuzzy - as well as Calvin and Hobbs.

And I also really like "Zits"
