I had to be a jerk to a reporter today... |

This morning there was an accident in which a coal truck flipped and dumped its load (No injuries). I was out doing stuff and my reporter who took the picture thinks it's a cool pic and starts emailing to newspapers. When she said she sent it to the Vancouver Sun, I thought that was the right move cause for them it is local. THEN I find out she's sent it to the Ottawa Citizen, and others.... basically she went into my email and sent it to any editors I'm in contact with....IT WAS JUST A LOCAL ACCIDENT. In fact the one paper that WOULD be interested she didn't send it to! Now, she sent it from my account... so all these people who are professional contacts thought it was me sending them these useless photos. I told her, "Do you know how stupid you made me look? Don't embarrass the paper and yourself like that. Never do anything like that again, always leave it up to me."
Fuck I'm pissed, I had to make phoncecalls apologizing, which was good because many of the people thought I had lost my mind until I explained what happened.

Could she be suspended for something like this?
No one ever said that the news business was easy. Believe me, I know.
