Michael Powell on Monday Night Football.
What a prick. I watch football so I don't have to think about politics for a while.

Thanks for ruining that for me, ABC.

5. Kinda like Scalia going duckhunting with Chest Painey
"The President designates one of the Commissioners to serve as Chairperson. Only three Commissioners may be members of the same political party. None of them can have a financial interest in any Commission-related business."

http://www.fcc.gov/aboutus.html

Now if ABC's best interest happened to conflict with what was best for the public...

2. Too many RW dicks on MNF, sick of it, don't watch anymore

Dierdork was a big Repub (in a really annoying U-M, pompous asshole kind of way), Al Michaels is an ass, and Dennis Miller sucked, even though that was before his reincarnation as a right-wing idiot.

Plus the Lions have sucked too much to be on it since Barry retired
:(

4. Miller was always RW
I remember when Michael Douglas was the guest on Miller's HBO show back in 1995, and the subject was "The Death of Liberalism", and he had Douglas on because he is a liberal. Douglas referred to Miller as "my favorite fascist in Hollywood".

1995. 9/11 and MNF have nothing to do with Miller's politics, because he was already there.

7. I find it pretty funny that everybody forgets
all the slime that poured forth from his smirky little lipless mouth about Bill Clinton in the nineties. Amazing how short some people's memories are. I never thought much of him, though -- never did trust a comedian who laughed at his own jokes before the audience reacted.

6. So far this year on MNF
We've had Al "Rush" Michaels insert his cute little anti-Kerry dig in the NE/Indy game, then we had the shot of Condi "I wasn't in the Loop"
Rice with Al gushing about how she'd like to be commissioner-but only after another 4 years and now we've Michael Powell on tonight's game. Whatever happened to keeping politics
out of our football games? I'm really getting royally pissed over ABC's
Sports trying to inject their agenda on the public who've turned in to see a goddamn football game!!

8. Speaking to the choir
Why don't you take the negative energy over to ABC and e-mail them about this stuff? They will back down if you complain to them.

I think it is ironic that the guy who made the Halftime show more memorable than the game itself shows up on Monday night football to tout how you can see censorship in HDTV.

10. We have been. In fact, Al Michaels recently said, "But we're supposed...
to talk about football," after some pro-Bush comment, I forget which one.

And I won't go near that program any more, it's such a right-wing fest.
