I saw a REALLY bad movie.
Sometime over the next few weeks, you guys will probably be hearing a lot of hype about a movie called "SAW"--don't buy into it. It's a serial killer movie that is such a blatant, imitative rip-off of "SEVEN" that it's just embarrassing. The whole damned thing is a patchwork quilt of motifs from other, better movies coated in several layers of David Fincher-ish grime and nihilism and climaxing in a crescendo of horrendous acting. Oh, and of course, there's a twist at the end but you'll probably see it coming a mile off. I did. Read the review from The Onion, this pretty much sums it up.

4. Trailers always look interesting.
I saw the trailer for "SAW" and was intrigued then a guy I know who works in a video store gave me free passes. Thank God the damned thing was free because I would have been royally pissed if I'd paid nine bucks only to see "SEVEN" again.

Oh, and Good Morning, cutie.:hi:

5. Good morning!
:hi:

Did you see that one about the stranded diver? That one looked good too... was it all pitch and no payoff as well?

6. Do you mean the shark movie?
I didn't see it and it's not playing here anymore. Honestly, I don't think I could have sat through it on the large screen. I have an intense fear of the ocean and a movie that pretty much involves watching two people bobbing around in shark infested waters would get to me after awhile.

7. Yeah, that one
It's at the dollar movies here, now. I'll probably have to wait for video, though, as usual. *pout*

Did you know that was based on a true story? Scary!

9. True story.
Yeah, I heard that. The predicament those two were in would be my perfect nightmare. I can swim but I never swim in the ocean. And surfing is just beyond my comprehension.

10. No, it was worse, it was just her!
She drifted in a strong current and was separated... left ALONE with those sharks. She said she thought she was filming her last moments alive. I can't even imagine. She wasn't able to dive again for the longest time... some discovery special or maybe national geographic did a short doc on her ordeal when the movie came out.

:scared:

11. Didn't she start out with her husband or boyfriend?
Did he not make it?

12. No, she was with a team
she's a photographer and a whole team was diving, but she got separated. I don't know if she was dating someone on the team, but I'm pretty certain she's wasn't married. There was a really strong current where they were and she just didn't notice how far she'd drifted. They surfaced and looked for her, but she was too far away. She came up all by herself...
