Fish smells so bad
I know it's really healthy for you and I'm sure it tastes nice, but I can't get over the smell!

I geuss unless you start eating as a child, adopting to the smell is hopeless.

3. couple of secrets
only use "fresh" fish - you want the "catch date" as close to the "cook date" as possible. Old fish gets stinky quickly - (this is not a sex thread, I swear). Very fresh fish hardly has any odor at all.

Rinse / with with cool water and pat dry before cooking - and use lemon, garlic, or dill (sparingly) - all counteract "fishiness".

4. Cooking it Yourself?
Try rinsing it with some diluted vinegar or lemon juice before cooking. That will eliminate a lot of the smell.

5. Fish that is smelly isn't fresh
So you wouldn't want to eat that anyway. Try it at a nice restaurant that way you don't have to cook it in your house or worry about not getting it fresh.
