will there be a sequel to lost in translation? |
|
found in translation? lost in love?
it was such a visually arresting movie. and it was about a moment, a day, nothing more nothing less. no explosions and no twists. i hate how american cinema is turning me more and more into a dullie dull dull because i hate the extreme excitement in movies these days.
i wish more hollywood movies would focus on extraordinarily ordinary things that happen everyday in normal peoples lives. and on the real things that happens in life - your heart breaks and things don't just get better instantly - it takes weeks of drug use, alcohol abuse, and packs of cigarettes before you go back to normal and fight off evil criminals with mindbendingly devious plans.
gaaaahhhh...

Though it was a melancholy ending to the story, it was a story that had to end. I'd hope Copella has enough sense not to even consider a part 2.

7. I thought it was just me. |

Overrated piece of crap. I also found it a little offensive.

I loved the film. Perhaps it's because I lived in Asia for three years, so I could totally related to their feelings of displacement, jet lag, and need for companionship that might understand you. (Despite the companion having nothing more in common with you other than feeling displaced, jet-lagged, and a need for a companion.)

5. There weren't enough car chases in that movie. |
|
They talk about really good car chases, but they didn't have any.
I was so disappointed in that movie.

10. I loved Lost in Translation... |
|
....it wasn't a plot movie; it was a movie that captured the pain and loneliness of isolation of two distant people...
