I hate our movers! They can't get our sh!t here on time, they want to charge us for being overweight when they guys loading it said it wasn't. The suck! I'm never doing this again! I don't care if it takes more money or time, I'm doing it myself next time! ARRRRGH!!!:argh::mad::argh::mad::argh::mad::argh::mad::argh::mad::argh::mad:

1. The one time we moved using movers it SUCKED |
|
Mongo was offered a job out here in Ohio and they were paying our moving expenses, including movers. We would rather they'd just given us an extra allowance to pay for a Uhaul, but they wouldn't do it that way.
Our stuff took about 5 days longer than it was supposed to to get to us! We were told after they packed us up in Boston that they were going to Maine, then to Ohio to deliver our stuff, which I think was not entirely true because they called us a couple of days later to tell us they were broken down in Chambersburg, PA and waiting for a replacement radiator - and Chambersburg really doesn't appear to be on the way from Maine to here!
They also packed our trash and a full ashtray when we weren't looking.:eyes:

3. That's a scam-the overweight thing |
|
report them to the state's AG...it might not get you anywhere or get you anything, but if this is a common business practice of theirs-and it is-registering a complaint will help build a case against these thieving lying ASSHATS!
Don't blame you for being mad-it's a bait and switch style thing and they know they gotcha over a barrel-if you have a friend who is an attorney, ask if they'll make a call to the office for you-that 'overweight charge' may just evaporate. then buy your attorney friend a *nice* bottle of wine.

I know the overweight thing is BS, I'm going to get the weight records. We do have some leverage we're using against them since the actual movers were sub-contracted from the company we went thru...we'll just have to see

If you moved interstate, federal law applies and attorneys fees are available.
