It seems like with all the current Nader backlash, for the hipsters who would rather not vote in the mainstream, the libertarian party has become their new haven.

Has anyone else noticed this trend?

1. No serious Green Party voter would EVER vote Libertarian
Only someone would was ignorant of politics would ever vote for both Libertarian AND Green unless they had a political epiphany/reversal of political philosophy. These two parties are at opposity ends of the spectrum.

2. Well...
Well, I've always thought that anyone who would vote Green in the first place is pretty ignorant of politics.

$15 dollar minimum wage? Puh-leeze.

That would make Bush's current economic climate look like the mid-nineties.

I'm just talking about mostly the people who vote for a certain party because their friends do. People who used to swing Green look to be swinging Libertarian now.

Then again, mabye it's just near me.

I've been noticing alot of libertarians popping up recently.

7. ...
Yeah but merely having a 12 dollar minimum wage is quite different from trying to triple it within a short time frame.

6. No, they've been one of the "green parties" of the right wing for a while
Yes, they're a magnet for some political hipster types, but not left wing hipster types.

The Libertarians are just reverse Marxists in my mind. Just as dogmatic as Marxists, too. They seem to obsess over the government "oppression" of those who own means of production.

You'll run into them quite often on Internet message boards geared toward political debate between different parties/ideologies.

Here's a nice place to start for criticisms of Libertarianism:
