in an ever divided country, both kerry and bush have come under constant attacks from the other side's partisans - usuaLLy the same accusation fLy: "Liar" "fLip-fLopper" "dumb"

so in an effort to settLe this war of insuLts, bush and kerry decided to have a competition to decide who shouLd bear the brunt of these attacks. they chose a game of footbaLL, with the Loser having to be the soLe target of these harsh words.

after a few hours of pLaying, neither side had yet to break the pLane of the endzone. hours stretched into the next day with stiLL, no score. finaLLy, john kerry, ceded the futiLity of the exercise and went home.
