I can't get a decent tortilla to save my life around here, so I bought a tortilla press and a bag of masa harina today. I'm itchin' to make some fine Mexican foods but don't have a cookbook. Share your favorites with me!

6. I've dined at Topolobampo. He's in a class by himself.

I was thinking of picking up his cookbook, in fact.

I made some homemade tortillas tonight. Way better than the dried-out discs they sell in my neighborhood. I got spoiled when I lived in a neighborhood with lots of Hispanic grocers; I thought you could get a good, fresh tortilla anywhere in town.
