So, I saw the Pixies last weekend...

Best concert I've ever seen. They were tight, loud and having fun. It was a beautiful thing. Plus, they played a ton of stuff off Surfer Rosa and Come On Pilgrim.

Put it this way: they were better than Neil Young & Crazy Horse. Better than Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers. Better than Hüsker Dü. Better--dare I say--than the Replacements.

If you get a chance to see them on this tour, GO!

I'm a guitarist. When I see a stage full of Vox AC30s, Marshalll Plexis, vintage Teles, Gretches, Rickenbackers and gold-top Les Pauls, I could almost care less what sounds they're making! Actually, TP&TH were pretty damn good when I saw them ten years ago.

6. I saw them at the Austin City Limits Festival. Outstanding!

I am thinking about seeing them when they come back around later this month, but at 40 bucks, my budget might not allow that.

7. Saw them back in the very early 90's

at the Boathouse in Norfolk, VA. Awesome show--would love to see them again.

8. Saw 'em twice in '92

In Chicago (with Pere Ubu) and in Davenport. They were better this time around.
