So it appears I'm becoming friends with my drunken barber
He just came in and asked if I wanted to come over again for a drink. I said sure. He asked what he should pick up and I said "Oh, I'll probably just have one, so whatever you want is fine."

He answered, "Hey, it may be drunken, but it's still a democracy."

Drunk Barber is actually okay company as long as he doesn't get too drunk and ramble on. Like me, he hates this town and most of the people in it.
He's a guy who's had a rough go due to his drinking problem (I imagine) and I actually feel sad for him.
He's also an ex-triple A baseball player so he loves talking sports and world series.

are overly-sappy drunks (if you are drunk and start crying and I'm not that drunk with you I want to slap you) and beligerent drunks. Flat-out funny drunks I can handle alllll day long.

2. that's the neat thing about him
You get the sad points of his life without him actually crying about them. He just talks about what happened, blames no-one (except Expo 86) and there is no hints of self pity or "Feel sorry for me"

3. sounds like a fun evening
Good way to while away some time after work. You don't hear about that many drunken barbers in the states, most are too uptite. Yep, a drunken barber has got to be interesting to listen to.

4. Do you let him cut your hair while he's drunk?
What about shaving off those little straggly hairs at the nape of your neck?
