1. truly sad, this guy was a Boston institution

Every marathon you could count on many Johnny Kelley stories. He was always gracious in interviews and seemed like a genuinely nice person.

2. I had the opportunity to meet him about 15 years ago

I had him come to speak at a dinner/banquet. He was a true gentleman.
