10. One joke I never got ...

when Bullwinkle goes to Wassamatta U, he shows up as a 1920's flapper. He talking to the students saying things like "Hey, let's swallow some goldfish". The students look at him and say "What are you, INSANE? C'mon guys, let's protest Norman Mailer down at the Student Union".

What was the hubbub about Norman Mailer at the time?

A amn named Durwood Kirby was Gary Moore's sidekick at the time that cartoon came out - I remember that he wasn't too happy about that story line.
