Poll question: Jimi Hendrix vs Ravi Shankar
In a pick-tastic battle royal - who is the victor?

1. Shankar - no contest
If Hendrix had lived and spent 30+ years treating his guitar as a religion, he may have equalled Shankar.

4. Ravi, if only because . . .
the sitar is so much more difficult to play than the guitar . . .

6. Woulda been one helluva collaboration!
What the heck kinda comparison is this anyway.
Hendrix, master of snaky guitar and tonal magic.
Shankar, master of fluid flurries and intricate rhythms...on sitar.

Watching both of them, I was always struck as to how the hell this beauty was coming as their hands just caressed their instruments. Magicians, both.
:loveya:
