1. I've been a huge Bloom County fan since the 80's.
Go Opus. Luv that Steve Dallas though. What a loser....in a republican sort of way.

5. Other...

Okay, first of all, Steve Dallas has two distinct characters...there's the sunglass-wearing renentive post-adolescent we love to hate, and then there's the post-alien abduction, perm sportin' sensitive enlightened Dallas, who's even worse.

And what of Lola Granola?

Ronald Ann?

Thornhump?

on edit: My least favourite was Rosebud the Basselope. I skip right over the Basselope ones in my anthology.

6. Everyone picks Opus.
I always liked Milo.

And who was the young woman schoolteacher who used to snuggle with Cutter John in his wheelchair?

10. btw, am I the only one profoundly diappointed with the new Opus strip?
Breathed has never seemed more out-of-touch

he devoted four weeks to teenagers and sagging jeans, for god's sake. way to go gramps! take that, you no good teenagers!

breathed was much better in a daily format where he could establish long, beautifully-convuluted plot twists

his art's never looked better, i will say that, but the writing is abysmal

14. I agree
The new Opus strip makes me wonder what Breathed's on sometimes. Bring back Far Side and Calvin and Hobbes!

15. Me too.
Never thought I'd say this, but Berke seems to have lost his edge. I hope he regains it soon. Even "Outland" was better than this.

11. I don't really have a favorite
I loved them all for different reasons. I tend to use the Opus image more due to my Antarctic background/Linux advocacy though :)
