My 2 yr old son has an amazing knack for hiding stuff.
He was coloring with his crayons just a little while ago. I went off to do something else for a bit and when I came back all 16 of his crayons were missing. I looked in the usual hiding places and all over the house. I can't figure out where he put them. I did find several of his animal crackers in the process of trying to find the crayons. I guess he must be hoarding them away for winter, like a chipmunk :) . He used to do the same thing with his milk bottles when he was younger, which was nasty because we usually didn't find them until after the milk spoiled.

2. How cute!
Yep, it must be the upcoming crayon drought that he's worrying about :-) How prudent to save his crayons!

4. Cavity Search!!
I remember putting a page from the TV Guide up my nose, one little piece at a time. The trip to the Dr.'s office to have it removed wasn't as enjoyable as the act. I felt like such a rebel until I was found out.
Is he walking funny? Sounding a little plugged up?
:)

11. I did.
I'm embarassed to admit it's true. Kids do crazy things and it seemed like a good idea at the time. Like I said, a little rebellious...
BTW, I really was only kidding about the cavity search. There are no cavities a two year old has thas can store 16 crayons!:)

17. This was my first thought too.
They have stopped making the scented crayons, right?

That was about the WORST idea ever.

Also check the VCR slot if you still have one.

8. My son hid my keys to the bank I worked at, when he was 2
I had to call the bank president and explain to him how I managed to lose the keys to the bank.. I was afraid he would fire me, but when I told him that my son had been playing with my keys, and that they were IN THE HOUSE..somewhere...he laughed and said that his grandson had lost Grandma's keys by buring them in a flowerpot..

He was very understanding, but we eventually had to have the locks to the back door of the bank changed, because I did not find them for MONTHS... until my husband mowed the lawn and found the keys inside his workboots.,..:eyes:

13. that was sooo funny - losing the bank keys
I wonder if the crayons went down the registers.. that is a popular place. How about the PB and J in the VCR - that happened here at one point.

14. Eek.. I hope he did not put them in the registers..
Melting crayons is not a pleasant smell :(..

We have always had ceiling registers :)

and yes... the bank pres DID give me a new key.. It was just a key to the lobby..not the vault :)

We only had one car, and my husband had to be at work at 8 AM, and the bank did not open til 9..

One snowy Feb morning, he came early, and asked what I was doing there so early. I was bundled up, and reading a book, while leaning against the wall that sheltered me from the icy wind (we were a block off Lake Michigan).. When I told him, he took his key off his key ring and said .."Here.. we don't want you freezing to death out here":)

He was a sweet old guy..

16. We had crayon issues today, too.
I caught my son drawing on the kitchen floor. Luckily they are the washable kind , but I took them away for the day, and tears ensued.

I've found the spoiled milk although ours was in the sippy cups with the valves that don't leak. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one :)

18. When our oldest was a baby, we used glass bottles
Edited on Thu Oct-07-04 10:31 PM by SoCalDem
He flung one through the window.. He woke up during the night, didn;t like the water we always put in his bottle at night.. So he grabbed the nipple and just threw it..

We heard a window breaking, and thought someone was breaking in..

We had to take him to bed with us and shut his door with a towel on the bottom.. It was February in Northern Indiana, and his room was about 45 degrees..:grr:

After that, he got NO bottle of water in bed :)
