THE STUNT MAN
Can someone explain the cult appeal of this film to me?

1. Don't know about the Cult appeal, but I loved it
when it came out. The theatre I worked in showed it for 2 weeks and I saw it several times - neatly done film.

2. As someone in "the Business"....
...no.

And I gave it another try a couple of years ago, when the DVD came out.

There was a "special features disc" with a whole bunch of flimshaw about the metaphor of hoo ha, and the underlying theme of blizblaz, but it's just not a great film.

Peter O'Toole is good, though, because he's ...Peter O'Toole.

3. It's WEEEEEEIIIIIIIIRRRRRRRD
Plus, Peter O'Toole talks a lot and when you're stoned it sounds like he might be sorta kinda making sense.

Sorta.

Did I mention that it's weird?
