Any Rubberstampers or Scrapbookers Here?
The rubberstamping forum I frequent has a Bush/Cheney thread going for 14 pages.

I got upset a little while ago and posted my own thread. Not too well written... but I was really upset:
http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=15621

Anyhow, was just wondering if anyone here collages or scrapbooks or is into rubber stamps?

1. Believe it or not...
...I rubber stamp, and my ex-roomie is a "Stampin'up" rep.

OK, I'm secure enough in my masculinity to admit I like stamping, and I'm good at it too. I am my BF's design consultant. :)

tell the people on this list that #1 stamping has nothing to do with politics

#2 they are completely wrong on Bush

#3 they need to shut the fuck up and piss the hell off.

2. I Am Also A Stampin Up Rep. And Am Rethinking My Membership
they have a thing going with McDonald House... a certain stamp set benefits their charity.

I am virulently against McDonalds. Why give to a charity that helps kids with cancer when the corporation doing the charity serves food that causes those kids to become obese and malnurished?

3. ya know what crying...
...I can't argue with that. I honestly can't. this one of those areas where my liberal leaning fall apart.

I'm a cancer researcher myself. I'm also a Pagan.

So I have a lot of complex issues in my life to deal with.

I'm ex-military. I was current military until two weeks ago. I resigned my commission because I do not agree with too stupid t be President, and i have a bad fear he's going to win in November.

I believe in the sanctity of life, but understand the power of stem cell research.

I have four totem animals, strong totem animals, I have to try and balance and yet I believe in animal research.

same argument for the environmental bit of my psyche.

"do what you will as it causes no harm" the wiccan rede. *thinking* a simple solution to realities complex issues. It's a guideline. Not a law.

The best "law" I can offer is "to thine own self be true". If you can live with it do it. If your ethical basis can support it run with it.

Outside of that? you are truly on your own. and never, ever, let anyone, even those love and respect, tell you that you are wrong.

Of course this just my opinion. I could be wrong.
