2. Tex and Edna Boil
Especially when Tex left Edna and she had to audition a new organ player.
I didn't care for Bob and Doug. That got kinda old.
I also loved Libby Wolfson, the self concious talk show host and the play "I'm taking my head off, screwing it on right and no guys gonna tell me that it ain't!"

Anybody remember 'The Boy Who Couldn't Wait For Christmas'? I fell in love with Martin Short on that one.

You did leave out 'Days Of The Week,' the soap opera parody, with Mojo and Billy, and the big parody scene at the end of the series from 'The Graduate.'

And Bill Needle and Lin Ye Tang, two of Dave Thomas's better characters. Though Lin Ye Tang would probably be considered racist today (Thomas himself has admitted this), the wooden robot sketch was great.

I owe surviving being a total pariah-geek in high school to NBC's syndication of SCTV. Sometimes, it was the only thing that got me through the week at school to the weekend.

On edit -- there was also the one-off Canadian National Playouse production of "We'll Be All Right What With You Leavin' Home And All, Eh?" that cast Catherine O'Hara as a druggie younger sister who played with her food.

7. MOJO! That was the Andrea Martin maid character, right?! I've been
racking my brain trying to remember the name...

Also, "Jane Eyrehead", heheh...

So many great memories.

15. Yes, Mojo was the maid.
She was in love with Billy.

I can't remember the other character Andrea Martin did, the one who developed 'Howard Hughes syndrome' and put tissues on every surface in her house.

That was another good one, speaking of Howard Hughes -- 'Melvin and Howards,' where Melvin Dumar picks up all the guys named Howard in his truck. Howard Hughes (of course, since Dumar claimed he'd picked up Howard Hughes hitchhiking out west and Hughes had left him some immense amount of money), then Howard Hughes, Howard Baker and Curly Howard.

14. I voted for myself, natch!
But there are too many to name...I liked the Merv Griffith parodies, the two I remember most were "Merv Griffith in Mayberry" (so...so Floyd...Do you think Opie needs another haircut? Oooooooh!)

And hopefully it will be on the next set, "Merv Griffith Visits the 60s"...THAT one was hilarious! I likes Merv's mantra..."We'll be right back we'll be right back we'll be right back..."

Younge Street!!!!

The adventure of two guys (Candy and Flaherty)who travel from New Brunswick to Toronto for their first experience of the "Big" city. On the way they pick up a female hitchhiker in Quebec (Andrea Martin as "Frenchy"). They end up on Younge Street, and finaly are all "bummed oot".

Based on a classic Canadian cult film, though I can't recall the title at the moment. (Although I just missed buying a copy on E-bay just a few weeks ago)

Loved "Blood Sucking Monkeys of West Mifflin", West Mifflin a suburb of Pittsburgh, Flaherty's home town.

While waiting for a flight, I once sat next to Flaherty in a bar in the Pittsburgh airport. (Brush with Greatness)

33. "Going Down the Road"
was the film it spoofed.

And a great touch was Jayne Eastwood reprised her role.

Loved all SCTV's Canadiana. The episode in which SCTV's on strike, and "CBC programming" replaces it, is my favourite. Monday Night Curling, "The Rowdy Guy," Hinterland Who's Who...

17. Just now remembering Jane Eyrehead. With Andrea Martin, and Joe
Flaherty as Roscoe. "She went crazy as a jaybird! I mean, mmblblbmfmdblblb!" "So we stuck her in this dungeon, gave her three squares and a fresh torch every day!"

Heh.

"What ever happened to baby Ed"?

Farm film report (I'm Billy Sol Hirock and I'm Big Jim McBob...)

Edith Prickly...

Battle of the PBS Stars....

Does anybody remember the spoof of CUJO, except it was Dave Thomas in the car with a St. Bernard dog, and the wife was the rabid one? :)

They are just sitting there in the car and then the wife pops up outside the car. I swear, the look on that dog's face!!

Who can forget Dr. Tongue and Woody Tobias, Jr?

I love them all! Guy Cabellero used to make me pee my panties laughing.

'Gangway for Miracles' (The Miracle Worker) was my favorite parody. Also 'The Godfather' was another......"Oh no it's Johnny LaRue and he's making a beeline for the lasagna!"

35. One stands out in my mind
The spoof on Pippy Longstocking with John Candy as Pepe' Longsocks. I haven't seen it in years, but John Candy jumping around a field playing a game of "Jump the weeds" still makes me laugh while thinking of it. I wish I could see that one again.
