Should I lighten up?
Today, for the first time some College Republicans set up a table. Now, I got mad that they were in such close proximity to me because they piss me off like no other people. Now, I know other people are friendly to them and they are friendly back but I just don't feel like being nice to them. To me its no longer just a difference in philosophies but a life and death situation. I used to have this friend who's a crazy Repug but we got along so long as we didn't speak about politics. Last month, though he really pissed me off and I don't even wanna talk to him. Am I being too hateful?

3. Politics THIS year goes to the CORE of who we are as humans
I do my best to be civil with those that are Republican around me...but no you are not over the line...there are many people I can't or won't tolerate any longer.

5. haha
No, I guess not. Today I got really pissed off though because there was some "cholo" looking guy waiting for his friend who was getting a Bush/Cheney sign. The guy then looked at us like "haha I'm so cool you pussy Democrats". I'm thinking "You fuck, the people who are dying in Iraq are the people you left behind not to mention that Bush has not and will never do anything for minorities." Also, i'd like to see the look on his face when he gets drafted but it won't only affect him :(

6. try equanimity.....
It might help your mind to find some ease, and save your sanity and energy......

Some people you can reach, others you can't.... I'm trying to find equanimity in the situation...

It's their karma, their world-view.

It sounds overly quietist, but sometimes it's the only thing you can do for your own peace of mind.

Reach out to who you can within your capacity, and then rest in equanimity with those you can't...

Hatred will devour you. I've come to some of the same conclusions you have: it's not any longer just a difference of opinion, because facts occlude mere opinion and they are on the wrong side....but you've got to have your own sanity to be able to reach the reachable...

At some point, and I don't want to even think about it, more radical measures might be necessary. I can't think about what that might mean, because I'm a total pacifist.

But for now I'm trying to maintain equanimity.

7. I still like what I did at the County Fair
This pretty, young, well dressed girl walks up to me as I am walking past the Republican'{t} Table, and with a HUGE shark Like Smile asks me if I am registered to vote... I give her the same Shark Like Donny and Marie Smile, and say, Yes, I am...Registered DEMOCRAT. (I would have told her I was registered Independent, But that would have probably caused her great Distress, this is WV after all, They don't know there is another party....) With that, as we walked away, the Kerry-President sticker came into View on my daughter's Stroller. I then walked over to the Democrat table and was going to say something when they all looked at me and started to Applaud. They had been watching, and laughing.

8. I keep hearing this all over.
That bumper sticker "if you're not outraged, you're not paying attention" has finally come into it's own.

I think these kind of feelings are a sign of sanity right about now.
