Obviously, I am a newb with a whopping 63 posts, but I have a dating question for DU women. So... I have this girl, been out with her once, she works for a company I do business with. We hit if off when we went out. Due to work, she comes into my office 1-3 times a week and we talk about NOTHING to do with business related issues whenever she comes in... obviously, I am interested... but... what I can't figure out, the entire time she is in my office, she talks, smiles, etc. but won't look me in the eye. My simple question is; what does this mean if anything? She's nice, flirty, but refuses to make eye contact.
PS. God, Winston Lights sucks... where are my Camels?

2. some people just have poor eye contact, |
|
or low self-esteem. Or maybe she's feeling guilty for being attracted to you because of the hunky husband she has waiting at home with their six children! :D (just kidding on that last one...)

She's confused. You hit it off but you didn't ask her out again. She wonders if she did anything wrong. She's pissed that you didn't ask he out again.

6. She's SHY. Yes, even attractive women can be shy around |
|
men they find attractive. And otherwise outgoing women can be shy around men they find attractive. They can even be shy while talking to a man they are attracted to.
That's my first reaction (speaking as a woman). If she weren't interested in you, she'd have no trouble looking straight into those apparently sexy, alluring eyes of yours! (if she's attracted to you, that is probably how she sees your eyes!)
This is probably a good thing. You need to ask her out again. She's wondering if you are still as interested as she is.

Usually when someone does not make eye contact they have someone else that they are concidering and you make them feel guilty because they are attracted to you. Or something like that.
Just my humble opinion.

I've had the same problem with a girl myself. She's sooooo shy, especially around guys. In fact, I'm one of two guys she talks to. Come to think of it, she doesn't really talk to the other one anymore. But yeah, other than the fact that her shyness makes me SOOO MAD, she's perfect :loveya:
I'm confused, you're confused... man, girls are hard to figure out :)

I live in Austin, which isn't very representative of the rest of the state... but, Austin is awesome, tons of fun, awesome social life type of town and anti-chimp in a major way... Texas is good.... regardless of what you hear, the 'morans' will come and go like the tumbleweeds.
In other words, it's great DUde ;-)

24. On the bright side, you're racking up lots of posts with this thread! |
|
Pretty soon you'll be calling everyone by their first name. You can start calling me Rocky now if you wish.
I think I've heard that song you're talking about... man girls are confusing. Here's some encouragement though; sometimes I strike out in search of female companionship with some guys who just seem like real chick magnets. A few of my friends are really attractive, I guess. But do they get girls? No, of course not. I never thought I'd be the most outgoing person at a party. One time I was at the St. Patrick's day party, and I tried to get some of my friends to join me in talking with a group of girls on the other side of the room (I can't handle 4 at once). But nooooooo... "hey man, I'll just stand here and drink my beer". Laaaaame.
How about a lottery system?

20. What culture is she from? |
|
In some cultures, it's considered 'forward' to look a man in the eye. Some Native Americans believe it is bad juju to look someone in the eye.
If neither is the case, she is just being shy and coy.

you lost me at "I have this girl."
(Kinda being tongue in cheek kinda not with that.)
Anyway, I do that too with guys I like (or I did when I was single), so my guess is she really likes you and you are so devastatingly handsome she can't even look at you.
